Commercial Casting Call!

Occasionally we like to do casting calls so that we can increase our database of local talent who are interested in being on camera. Responding to this casting call does not guarantee you a role, audition, or even a response, however we do our best to follow up when we can. We appreciate your interest and hopefully we can work together soon!

Mountain Craft Productions is in development on a series of commercials for an in-state insurance agency. The series will feature a number of roles, however right now we are casting for the first two commercials in the campaign. Please read the below descriptions and instructions carefully. Only those who follow all of the submission guidelines will be considered for work.

Location:

The commercials will be primarily shot in North Central West Virginia, but there may be travel involved if other locations are chosen. Qualified candidates must have transportation.

Time:

We’ll begin production in early August, with additional filming to follow throughout the year. We recommend that you email casting@mtncraft.com as soon as possible. Please follow the guidelines below.

Compensation:

Most of the roles are paid, depending on difficulty. Pay rate to be discussed once you are shortlisted.

Submission Guidelines:

All inquiries and applications MUST be emailed to casting@mtncraft.com. No casting responses sent to our social media platforms will be followed up on. To apply for a role, you must send an email with your name, age, phone number, physical address, a current headshot, current full body photo, and role you’re interested in. Only one person can apply per email. If you have acting experience, you may also attach a resume or list your experience. If you would like to submit multiple people for multiple roles, please send each in a separate email. This casting call will not have a specific notification date, however if you are shortlisted you’ll definitely get a response from us. If you are not chosen, you’ll automatically be considered for potential future roles unless you specify that you wouldn’t like to be considered.

Roles:

Insurance Agent (Spokesperson for entire campaign)

This is our most important role to fill. The insurance agent character will be a recurring character in all of the commercials and serves as the spokesperson for the insurance company. The agent finds himself in humorous situations, but always maintains a professional and calm demeanor. He’s clean cut, dressed in a suit, and speaks with confidence. This is a speaking role. We’re currently interested in looking for qualified males across the millennial and baby boomer generations, particularly ages 35-55.

Mr. Romano (Commercial #1)

This is a speaking role. We’re looking for a stereotypical Italian male, aged 35-50. Boisterous and animated. He runs his family-owned restaurant with a lot of pride and passion.

Young Mother (Commercial #2)

This is a speaking role. The young mother (25-35) finds herself broken down on the road with her husband and kids. She’s irritated and coming unraveled.

Young Father (Commercial #2)

This is a featured extra role. The young father (25-35) finds himself broken down on the road with his wife and kids. He’s trying to remedy the situation but just doesn’t have the skills to do it.

Son (Commercial #2)

Featured extra with small speaking part. Age 6-12. Looks bored, hot, and tired as the family tries to get back on the road.

Daughter (Commercial #2)

Featured extra with small speaking part. Age 6-12. Looks bored, hot, and tired as the family tries to get back on the road.
